about me

I am currently a PhD student and member of the UCLA VisionLab. In 2007 I completed my M.S. in Computer Science under Professor Stefano Soatto and am now continuing my studies under him. Previously, I completed the Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, with department honors, at Harvey Mudd College (2005). At Harvey Mudd I had the pleasure of working with Professor Zach Dodds on a number of robotics projects.

academic interests

I am broadly interested in the intersection of computer vision and robotics: developing vision techniques to give autonomous agents the capabilities to intelligently interact with their environment.

Recently I have been focusing on the vision side of things, specifically analysis of motion and human actions, as well as recognition and the automatic retrieval of training data. In the past I have also worked on projects involving robot localization and environmental map building using structure from motion.

I also have a tangential interest in neurobiology.
