about me

I am a third year graduate student in Computer Vision at the UCLA VisionLab. I recently completed my M.S. in Computer Science under Professor Stefano Soatto and am continuing my studies under him towards a PhD. Previously, I completed the Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, with department honors, at Harvey Mudd College (2005). At Harvey Mudd I had the pleasure of working under Professor Zach Dodds on a number of robotics projects.

primary academic interests

I am broadly interested in the intersection of Computer Vision and Robotics: developing vision techniques to give autonomous agents the capabilities to intelligently interact with their environment.

More specifically my current interests are in motion, recognition, vision based localization, sensor fusion, simultaneous localization and mapping (SLAM), and a broad array of machine learning algorithms.

other academic interests

Within Computer Science I also enjoy venturing into Graphics and Animation. I am also very interested in Neurobiology, specifically in Brain Machine Interfaces.
